I think it would encourage asinine behavior. Flaming out and insults would be the norm. A lot of comments about people's asses.
Might allow people a wildland where they could act out, free from the constraints of netiquette.
Links to your blog and advertisements for your band's shows would be invitations for abuse.
Instead of a status update, fart noises.

Admit that it is genius. If any of you have the tech skills to start up a website, let me know and we'll go into business. Or just steal the idea. I won't be looking out for it.
