K Riddle: You know my numbers, what's my name?

The two of us

Are half of a whole

With many fifths

Or so I've been told

With many ones

An eight and a nine

But by sixteen

Two ones were mine

Who am I?

Who is JASON D? K-Riddle

Editor's note: Yes, we're on a riddle kick!

JASON D says with a laugh,

"What you do in a year I can do in a half!

I'm named after numbers, I'm named after emperors

I start out quite hot and I end up much colder

I start out with explosions and end in champagne

Can you tell me why I have this name?"

A loony one is he

So who, or what, is JASON D?

Return of the K-Riddler

If you spell my color

And switch the first letter

With the next one alphabetically down

This substitution

Makes a transformation

As my color then becomes my sound

What am I?

HINT1 When I say "the next one alphabetically down" by "down" I mean "closer to A as opposed to closer to Z."

HINT2 The color is not universally accurate, but the classic depiction of this thing almost always show it as being this color.

HINT3 Yes, I am proposing that "color" sort of rhymes with "letter." Hey, it's a riddle, not a sonnet!

K-Riddle

Who, when doubled

Answers this riddle with a puzzle?

HINT:

If this game your mind outfoxes

It's best to think inside the boxes

HINT2:

The numbers all add up the best

When you can see where East meets West

Fangosaurus

They've determined that Sinornithosaurus millenii had grooved fangs for channelling venom.

She lurks beneath the ferns, watching the others pass.

The prey roots for tubers and grubs, not knowing that she is there.

A fat one stops to scrape the bark of a rotting cycad trunk.  Its tail is short and without quills.

The bitter taste comes to her mouth and her forelimbs flex before she even makes the decision to strike.

She leaps!

Founding Fathers Jeopardy

Some more Jeopardy questions about the founding fathers. You might not get all of these. Let me know if you need the answers.

They both famously died on July 4th, 1826.

He signed the Alien and Sedition acts.

He was our smallest President, and the first to wear trousers instead of breeches and was the “father of the constitution.”

He was the only founding father not to go to college, hated physical contact, grew marijuana and devoted his energies to having the government build canals.

He was so broke when he died that he sold his books to the government, starting the library of congress.

Gore Vidal fancied that Hamilton had said that he’d slept with his daughter, though the documented history involves a third party who said Hamilton has merely said “other things.”

He was tried for treason for attempting to steal Texas and have himself declared Emperor, though he was acquitted.

He invented a form of mimeograph and a new type of desk, among other things.

This President, consistently rated one of the worst, coined the term “Founding Fathers.”

Based on a Scottish term for cattle drovers, this word became the name of a British governmental movement which was adopted by Revolutionary patriots, and eventually became a major political party.

5th & 6th Beatles Jeopardy Questions

Went to a drunken weekend which included Jeopardy Questions. I went with 5th & 6th Beatles (really stretching the concept) so you should be able to get them all. Give yourself double points for the bottom 5.

There were rumors he faked playing.

Some (Maybe two or three people) say this player was better than his replacement or anyone else.

George Martin recently showed his love by mashing up a bunch of Beatles song for this performance group.

This keyboardist went on to have such hits as “Nothing From Nothing” and “Will It Go Round in Circles.”

Norah Jones is the daughter of this prominent member of the Beatlerage.

His nick-name was “God.”

A member of the Fluxus art movement who played a part in the Beatles world.

The song “Sexy Sadie” was written about this person.

This “Captain America” said “I know what it’s like to be dead” inspiring the song “She said She said?”

In what song did the Beatles sneak the message to Manager Brian Epstein that “you’re a rich fag Jew?”
